Join us for a musical extravaganza during our service on December 21 at 9:30 AM! The story of Jesus’ birth will be shared through story and song to prepare for the culmination of Advent on Christmas Eve.

As Christians, rather than simply making resolutions for the new year, we talk about the habits we practice that form our lives in the way of Jesus. The Apostle Paul tells us that physical exercise is good, but spiritual discipline is better with benefits now and in the life to come (1 Timothy 4:8).
We invite you to make a plan now to read the New Testament in a year. We could take on the Old Testament or the entire Bible the following year, but to begin, it would be powerful for us individually and for our congregation to read the New Testament together. And it’s a very possible and practical goal.
You could pick up a printed Bible you already have. Or using an app on your phone makes this quite easy. The YouVersion is an app on your phone (Bible.com), and it’s free. Choose a readable, accurate translation. We use the Common Move forward in your faith with Biblical engagement English Bible (CEB) in worship.
Simply, choose a regular place and time, like mornings when you wake up at home, and simply read one chapter a day, Monday through Friday. There are 260 chapters in the New Testament. There are 260 workdays (Monday-Friday) in the year. See how that works out nicely! Reading one chapter a day during the week only takes about five minutes. You can do that! You’ll still have weekends to catch up, if necessary, and read the Bible with our congregation during worship on Sundays.
Fill out your connect card, join us in prayer, or make a gift.
Do good to others in the name of Jesus.
